2023 - I was nominated for 2 JOSIE Music Awards and the ceremony was in Nashville, Tennesse. The largest independent music awards in the world and I got to go along and stand on the stage at the world famous Grand Ole Opry.
Being nominated for Vocalist of the Year in my age category (13 to 17) was rewarding enough, but when they actually called out my name and I heard I had won, I just couldn’t believe it. Almost 60,000 independent musicians enter each year. To fly to Nashville and to be on the same stage where the likes of Elvis have performed was just incredible. Thank you to my Mum and Dad for taking me.
My treble voice changed in 2023 but I've recorded new songs in my changed voice and I really hope you'll enjoy these too. My second album, 'A BORROWED GIFT, is out now and it's a new beginning. For MORE videos - in BOTH voices head to my YouTube channel, there's new songs all the time.

What's it really like coping with a changing voice.
Reflecting on all the great things I've been so lucky to do. I also talk about my changing boy soprano voice, to it's lower range that I will develop as I grow up.

When Cormac started releasing music, we only planned to do this while he was a treble. Now that time is ending & because his changed voice is developing so well, we need a re-think.
This means how we support it financially needs a re-think too.
For each song, on top of studio hire costs, there’s the producer, the recording, mix and mastering engineers, the musicians and the videographer to pay for too. On average, it costs £2,000 ($2,500) per song.
Unfortunately, any income from Cormac’s singing doesn’t come close to covering this. “Empty Chairs”, his most successful song, with over 5 million views & streams, has earned just £530 ($650).
